Agreed, would much prefer Origins to use the DayZ SA than Arma 3.

How about just skipping ArmA3 and doing an Origins Mod for the standalone DayZ? It'll be using Steam Workshop eventually. Standalone has improved this year and when I play it I see the potential for Origins using that engine.
