How to place a Safe

A rare but very efficient way to hide and secure your most valuable loot, designed specifically for lone wolves and solo players.

Solo players unable to build their own houses can now find and build their own safes.

Safes can be found in large cities in the well-known financial districts and banks. Survivors can lock the safes using digital locker code, however it need batteries to function.
Safe spawn location
It's in the Sabina bank and it has a 50% spawn rate.
If it's not there try on the next restart.
Pros and cons of the “Safe“

The good :
  • Cannot be destroyed by other players
  • Can build multiple safes ( in 1.7.8 now limited to one )
  • Lockable
  • Can be Berried underground (you can dig it in and out)
  • Currently cannot be cracked in 1.7.8, enjoy this while it lasts

The not so good:
  • Not very large storage capacity - yet enough for your most valuable weapons and loot.
  • Safe can be cracked using drills – only survivor with level 2 thief skill (Introduced in future updates ) can crack it. – so enjoy the safety of your safe while it lasts

Remmeber, once you find the safe to place it you will need, battery + Toolbox + Etool
to dig it underground and out you will need Etool

Enjoy and be safe :)

Wow, I had no idea these were in the game. Are they a normal loot spawn?

If you move your base, can the safe be destroyed or dug out completely and moved?
