Whenever I try to connect to a server I load in with the Arma 2 loading screen (the one with the tanks?) Ive tried verifying game cache as well as copying the addons thing but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else had a problem like this? My launch parameters are -mod=EXPANSION;@DayzOrigins" -nosplash -world=empty -nopause and ive done the opt in for beta thing too so im out of ideas.

Your parameters are wrong. Try: (-world=empty is unnescessary, as it only affects singleplayer.)
