When I join a server the game starts fine, but when the origin loading screen comes up I get a message about 2 seconds after, saying: BattleEye initialization failed. Any idea what could be causing this? I launched the Origins launcher as admin, and my BattleEye files have all the admin properties checked.

I also tried installing them manually in the Arma 2 folder and Arma 2 OA folder.

Nothing works.

I have arma on Steam, if that helps.

Hi Twan,

Try to first launch a server in Arma2 OA itself. This will update your BattleEye, maybe that causes the problem. Please let me know if this works.

I have to sometimes manually update Battleye to get it to behave.

Here are the locations that I copy the downloaded files into (and replace current files):

C:\Users\*yourUserName*\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye

Download them from here:
http://www.battleye.com/downloads/

All four the ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead files (NOT DAYZ) that are for Windows.

I have been having an issue with playing origins. I have overpoch on my pc for dayz working just fine, so I know my battle eye is somewhat working. But whenever I try to launch origins i get to the point of spawning and then I get a "battle eye restriction variable #20" and I am booted. Anybody have any ideas of how I may resolve this issue?
