In the past few days whenever I hit P and scroll down some times my game decides to crash... It has not happened before and I literally have no idea what I could do to fix it

Not having the issues myself.
You might have a corrupt game file.
I can only suggests you verify all your game files through Steam (ARMA II and all expansions)
If it still fails, download the Origins MOD again and replace your current install.

it used to happen to me when i had,squad xml attached to my player

This only happens when someone has a corrupt Squad.xml - ask the server admin to ask the players with squad.xml's to remove them.
