Sorry but I have to trow in a WTF on this. On what basis can you say this is the reason for the declining rate of players on SA ? I belive there are a lot of other reason people are not playing the standalone. Last I played it was not hard at all to get ammo and if your a serverhopper/server looter like I feel many people are it must be even easier.

Dont even get me started on SA... The last thing that made me give up is finding ammo.

People just want it easy. Offer them high end weapons everywhere and we would have a landslide vote.
But try to remove a infinite ammo bug and "players will give up due to it".

Lot of players just want to get some fun kill other players.... and dont wanna anything to much harder

If this was what the players want, we would have 1000 choppers and 1000 vehicles, SelfBlood, high end weapons everywhere and everything. Just like every "popular" pure pvp mods.

remove it ONLY if you balance magazine spawn, it will be nearly impossible to use the (useless) rifle known as DMR because we cant find mags, we will not be able to refill them and the weapon has no damage. Imagine a m4 in which you have to play with 1 or 2 20 round stanag, you have to spam it to kill someone but ammo are impossible to find that is ridiculous.

DMR mags even drop in industrial zones! In pairs! Zombie soldiers also drop DMR mags.

Is it that hard to find mags?

Yes, but let ammo re-fil only in houses/strongholds/safes after restart.

So you can´t just relog and DA DAA, but you actually have to go and put magazines in your house and wait for a restart.
This is kind of half way solution, maybe... :oops:

This way typical adventuring and fire fights are more challenging.

I believe that if you place mags in houses and lock them that will refill the mags.

But lets wait for an official answer.
