i click join and it loads up arma 2 then diconects from server when i go onto dayz launcher i dont see the servers that are listed on here? the most players i see on orgins on my dayz launcher is like 4 people

It has a complete Serverlist and you can download and update the game there.

Thanks for this, was wondering why I couldn't connect to anything. Just out of interest, where would new players get hold of this launcher, if they're not lucky enough to come across this thread?

Also, has support for updates stopped working through DayzCommander? Still shows 1.7.9 as the latest origins patch.
