What to do after getting basic gear?

What should you do after getting a bag, food, water, medical, and a gun? It seems the jump to getting a house/car is too big, is there anything you should do in between? Like maybe set up a camp? Are there tents?

You could head to sabina or the trader and get a safe. The trader also has storage boxes that arnt too much if you dont have enough to trade for a safe. There are tents but you need short planks to set it up. Once you have hidden or safe storage it makes getting a house much easier.

Yes, there is a bank in Sabina just on the corner of the square and there is a 50% chance a safe will spawn in there after server reset. Tents are fairly easy to find but as ISP said you need short planks so will need a hatchet and an old saw. These can be found around the industrial buildings (including the big red one).

Once you have a safe, its easier to store parts ready for your lvl 1 house (where you need to go to Industrial places to find the blueprints).
