A player said ingame, that if u want to farms skills you can' not build level 2/3 house or nest, is it true?

Not that I am aware, Ive a lvl 3 house and Ive farmed my mechanic skills up to 3.3

ive built a level 2 house and ive been getting my skills up also my friend whos has finished his level 3 house can still get his skills up
