fences were built by me, i destroyed plenty of wooden fences pre 1.8 as well. will have to have a word with owner of server to see what is put about demolishing fences, thanks for all the help, its just frustrating they i cant knock them down

Same for me...wanted to try something and now have to delete the fences to build the base...any suggestions?! How did u solve it?!
