HELP!!

Post by Dr.Teeth »

I have admins who have left my server now trying to destroy it just to be pricks. I changed my battleye password in tcadmin and removed their tcadmin accounts but they are still able to log in on dart and kick and ban people. Why isn't it updating dart's password when I have already changed battleye pwrd in tcadmin. What do I need to do in order to remove dart access from them?

Hey man

It sounds like your config files aren't updating on server side

When you changed the password, did you have to update your DarT application with the new password?

I would also open a ticket with LagFreeServers to try and get this resolved.

Another thing you can try is:

Go in to your control panel
Shut down the server
On the "Action" tab, run both the repair options (file system and DB)
Check again that you have changed the DarT password and removed all accounts to the control panel, save the files, twice for good measure.
Again go to the "Action" tab, run both the repair options (file system and DB)
Start server

Hope you come right!

Neither worked. They are still logging in and I haven't had to change my password yet either. It's showing up as changed in beserver.cfg

That is a concern!

LagFree will then have to check why your control panel is not updating the password, even though it shows that it is under beserver.cfg.

Sounds like you see the active file but the server is still using a shadow file of sorts.

Going to test on my server to see if the same happens to me.

Here is my test:

Shut down server.
Changed my Battleye password in beserver.cfg under control panel.
Start server.
DarT then could not connect with old password.
Updated password in DarT. All OK.

Shut down server.
Changed password back to old password in beserver.cfg under control panel.
Start server.
DarT fails to connect
Updated password in DarT to old password. All OK.

This should work for you, but as stated, is not.
LagFree should check as to why the control panel is showing an updated file but clearly the file is not updated.
