Posting a video so it shows up instead of text link.

Everytime I use the youtube button and add my vid link in the middle of the tags, it just shows up as text. I noticed some people are able to insert the vid itself in to their post so the thumbnail shows up and is clickable. How do you actually embed posts like this?

just post the short video code of the youtube vid.
