Houses and where to build them

Ill keep them close together then. I think I asked this but will ask again for clarification - Do I get a code to lock my house? Or is it just an option to lock/unlock through the menu system? I play with a friend and want him to access the house when Im offline.

if you want that he could enter, he need your steam acc or you open him the door after a server restart.

I doubt there is enough players on my server to get a Stronghold built but a few houses would be good

Ok, just about ready to build my first lvl 1 house and garage. Is there any specific requirements I need to take into consideration when laying the foundations - any bugs etc?
