Launcher will not download Origins

So the problem is that whenever I attempt to install the mod through the launcher nothing happens.

Meaning that I click the "install" button on the launcher, the grey loading rectangle appears but nothing happens. It just sits there forever doing nothing.

The torrent option is unavailable to me at this point.

Things I have tried:
Turning off all firewalls
Verifying files of arma
Reinstalling arma
Using the .rar and the .zip
fiddling with the path names
Creating an empty folder where the mod should be installed with the name @OriginsMod and giving that path to the launcher

On the Launcher, ahve you tried the second tab 'download' and tried downloading from there as well as verifying battleye?

Yes I have tried both of those things to no avail
